“Protect Your Heart ” was STAYU’s first collection that came to life. Powerful phrases have always spoken to me, so I jotted down every phrase that came to mind. “Protect Your Heart ” came to mind immediately. Growing up, my mom was always telling me to protect my heart. Whether it was a relationship, friendship, a job… she would remind me to protect my heart if she saw me put it into anything. Despite her constant reminders, I did the exact opposite. I put my heart into things that didn’t deserve it and gave my heart to individuals who didn’t treat it for what it was worth. When I first started STAYU, I wasn’t protect my heart. By the time “Protect Your Heart” dropped as STAYU’s first collection, I had learned the importance of what my mom had been reminding me to do for all those years. Going through times of self doubt and not knowing my worth led me to achieving my UNIQUE by helping me find the person I truly am and want to be. “Protect Your Heart” being the first collection that represents a story of achieving UNIQUE is significant because STAYU would not have its ideas, passion, and creativity without the journey that “Protect Your Heart ” represents. I hope you love this collection as much as I love sharing it with you.
